Created in 2012, Opus Trío is made up of three outstanding soloists of prominent and intensive

national and international background, who share a profound passion for chamber music and a

desire to develop their extended repertoire with the highest artistic level.

They have performed at the Colón Theatre of Buenos Aires; at the Auditorium of the Amijai

Community; at the Usina del Arte; at the Llao Llao Musical Week in Bariloche; at the Tres

de Febrero Theatre in Paraná, Entre Ríos; at the Fundación Salta Theatre for the Argentine

Mozarteum in Salta.

For the current season 2014, they are planning to perform the Integral Cycle of Trios with piano by

L. Van Beethoven, and they will be also appearing at the Gran Rex Theatre in Buenos Aires, at the

Llao Llao Musical Week in Bariloche and at the Asociación Armonicus in Neuquén, among other

Freddy Varela Montero : Chilean violinist, he has been concertino in the Orquesta Filarmónica

de Chile and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Concepción. He has performed as a soloist with the

orchestras “Filarmónica de Lima”, “Filarmónica de Chile”, “Orquesta de Cámara de Chile”,

“Orquesta Sinfónica de Concepción” and most of the regional orchestras in Chile. At present he

is the concertino at the Orquesta Estable of the Colón Theatre and Concertino Conductor at the

Camerata Bariloche.

Stanimir Todorov: Bulgarian cellist, he was First Cello at the Camerata Lysy-Gstaad in Switzerland.

He was the soloist cello at the National Danish Radio Orchestra, at the Suisse Romande Orchestra

and at the Philharmonic Orchestra in Montercarlo. He has performed as a soloist with renowned

symphonic orchestras, and he has an active career as a chamber musician. In 1994 he was a

laureate in the prestigious Rostropovich International Cello Competition in Paris. At present he is

a deputy soloist at the Orquesta Estable of the Colón Theatre and the first cello at the Camerata


Paula Peluso: Argentine pianist, she undergoes a very intense activity as a chamber pianist,

performing with renowned national and international soloists. She has appeared as a soloist

with several symphonic and chamber orchestras in her country, and she has been a laureate in

numerous piano and chamber music competitions. She was an official pianist at the First and

Second International Violin Competitions Buenos Aires 2010 and 2012. She teaches piano at the

Conservatorio Superior de Música de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
